About The Event:

Trecho Kidathon – An annual run event exclusively for children is organized every year during the month of May-June. From its very first edition, Kidston was received with infectious enthusiasm by the younger lot and the 10 fold growth in participation spanning just 4years stands testimony to the popularity of the event which was entirely self-supported through voluntary contributions by the running members.

Trecho Kidathon 2019 will be held on Sunday, May 26th, 2019 with the aim to provide another unique experience to children to enjoy running outdoors in fresh clean air in the company of their brethren. This will be healthy and welcome time away from their gadgets and television.

The event will be held in Kidathon Assembly Ground, Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Kodigehalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560065, India. Further details will be shared by May 1. Utilize this opportunity to get your children to inculcate the healthy habit of physical fitness through regular running.

Well manned aid stations equipped with water and medical support will be available at regular intervals along the run course. Children will be grouped on the basis of their respective ages and each group will have run marshals to ensure that the children follow the right course besides having a safe and enjoyable run.

Finisher medal and refreshments await all the participants at the finish line. Online timing certificate will be published shortly after on the event page.

Prizes will be given away to the top 3 boys and girls under each category.

Parents are requested to encourage their children to run the race on their own and cheer them by stationing themselves on the sidelines or at the assembly ground. This will ensure camaraderie and the joy of participation besides avoiding crowding at places and inconveniencing other children or endangering them during the run. We also want to eliminate needless competitive stress and help them to enjoy the positive effects of indulging in the physical exertion of endurance running.

With parents running alongside and blocking other children, your young athletic ward will not only miss out on inculcating a lifelong healthy habit but will also not figure among prizes if found or reported to have been paced by an unauthorized person.
