Near Bilikal Rangaswamy Betta,
While the 1st Edition was T3M – Trecho Tuff Ten Mile… we are here this year,
BIGGER & BETTER as – T4M – Trecho Tuff Ten & Twenty Mile.
The Trecho Tuff Ten & Twenty Miles (T4M) is a fun challenge that will test the seasoned and neo runners alike. Nestled among virgin woods amidst lush greenery lies the roller coaster course devoid of traffic, noise, dust, pollution, irate commuters, ugly concrete monoliths and time pressures.
Come oxygenate at every step where varied birds strum up a symphony. Be visually delighted by the mighty mountains while gentle cool breeze caresses the skin as you bob up and down the demanding yet endearing rolling hills. No noisy din or intruding crowds, just the whispering cheer of a shuffling deer who grin and bear the trumpeting of stomping feet as they pound the tar and trail with equal aplomb.
Revive the runner in you….
..Come rediscover the pleasure of running again
Trecho Tuff Ten and Twenty MILES (T4M) run, is the only MILES run in India! T4M is held annually amidst the rolling hills of rustic villages of Kanakapura taluk, located 75 kms from India’s Silicon Valley, Bangalore. Held in mid-August, the event attracts both novice runners, endurance runners, nature runners. The Second edition of this fun yet challenging event will take place on Sunday, 11 Aug 2019. In this Second edition of T4M, we have run categories of 10 Miles, 13.1 Miles and 20 Miles, that will take the runners along the scenic route towards the Bilikal Rangaswamy Betta, a forest reserve. The route will throw up several pleasant surprises including beautiful birds and animals; rustic rural life; etc. Some have come across fresh elephant dung on the route. Need we say more? The chirping of birds is the only music required along with your thumping heartbeat as you fill your lungs with fresh mountain air, rich in oxygen. A must have experience to become a True and Pure Runner… R U ready to experience this?

The T4M route will mostly remain the same as that of 2018, including the favored rolling hills! You can look at the description of the 2018 route and get a general idea. Actual route maps for the various categories will be updated soon. The unique and challenging route of T4M has won many hearts last year and we certainly hope that many more will fall under its charm on August 11, 2019. In the second edition, as did the first, will start and end at the Lakhanigam Farm, the place that is beautiful with a small structure and Potta Potti facilities for the runners. The route will take the runners through the village roads and then head off to the rolling hills towards the entrance gate of Bilikal Rangaswami Betta. This provides great view of the sunrise and the surrounding hills and forest. It’s a nirvana moment for many (Nirvana – an ideal or idyllic state or place). The runners turn back from this point and return to the Lakhanigam farm as a True and Pure Runner. While this is not a race to beat your own personal best timing, this T4M event will be an experience you will cherish. The route is testing on the runner, but the challenge is worth it. We are sure you will all enjoy the route and the farm.
Kanakapura is famous for the production of Silk and Granite. It is located among the lush green forests of the state of Karnataka. Situated on the banks of the river Arkavathi, the town is a tourism hotspot and is often visited by avid trekkers, history buffs and wildlife enthusiasts. The mornings are foggy while the sunrise is awesome. Situated 75 km from Bengaluru, we have to turn into Harohalli on Kanakapura road to reach the start point. Kanakapura has an average elevation of 638 meters (2093 feet).
The maiden TTT run was a marvelous experience of running and having fun amidst nature.
It was more like a picnic especially with the bus journey up and down with the fellow runners.
The track was absolute best with serene lush green look around protected environment, so its not a regular place of run, but opened for us on that day. The run itself with Sukhen, Sundar and few other buddies was most memorable as we started first and finished last consuming just 3 hrs to cover the route leisurely taking photos and soaking in the atmosphere. Looking forward to this years run to relive those moments & hopefully finish last again with my friends.
Trecho Tuff Twenty Mile run Bring it on
T3M 2018, my first endurance run without practice. I had just started to run for 5 months back and in between off track with the practice for 2 months. T3M run gave me confidence in endurance running. The trail was green and scenic with drizzle in between. Trecho team had organised the first of such runs with great professionalism. Hats of to the team. And I am looking forward to participate in Aug 2019 T4M as well to create another cherishable memory!
TTT 2018 memories are still fresh in mind, when ever i see this picture i can feel the joy .
